Daley Craig has built a beautiful championship croquet court at his home on Tanglewood Farm in Crozet, VA. The setting is marvelous, with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. It is the fourth court that Daley has built, and he now has it down to a science. The court was near perfectly flat, and the grass in great condition.
John Harrelson from Lexington, VA, joined us for two days of International Rules croquet. I played some of my best croquet under Daley's wonderful advice. Daley is a terrific coach, and has written Common Sense Croquet.
Just after I left Virginia, Jacques Fournier arrived at Tanglewood Farm.
Jacques is starting college at the University of Virginia this fall.
Daley is trying to start a croquet team at the University of Virginia,
on which Jacques would be a player, and Daley would be the coach.
