Kenilworth club committee member Peter Dennis has hit some good shots in his time, but even he ran out of puff trying to run a hoop with this huge fungus.
Mr Dennis was unable to resist trying to play with the puffball, which was found near the lawns at Crackley Lane. It was as large as a football and weighed about a kilo. When cut in half it looked like sliced white bread.
