Matt Baird of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, visited the Maui Croquet Club, and a tournament was held in his honor. Paul Billings won the tournament by winning all three of the games he played, and he completed his first tounament straight triple peel. Leo Nikora came in second having won two thirds of his games. Matt Baird won half his games, and came in third. Tim Wheeler and Dick Karr tied for fourth, not having won any games.
The tournament was sanctioned by the United States Croquet Association (USCA), played on a three-quarter sized court, followed Advanced Association (International) Rules, used Sunshiny balls, limited games to two hours, and was directed by Leo Nikora.
Matt Baird is a member of the Tulsa Croquet Club. The Maui Croquet Club enjoyed playing Matt for the third time, and hopes he returns to Maui again soon.
