CROQUET NEWS:  Maui Croquet Club at Kapalua Club

Kapalua Club members Debbi Katz, Patricia Orason, Stuart Katz, Dick Hammond, Russ Wynne, and Kaye Hesburn play Golf Croquet.

The Kapalua Club invited the Maui Croquet Club for another lesson in how to play real croquet. They had their first lesson three years ago at the Kapalua Club Golf Croquet Tournament.

The greenskeeper mowed the grass short on the practice tee at the Kapalua Bay Course, but the grass was still very slow. A half-sized court was set. Games were double banked.

Six members of the Kapalua Club learned to play Golf Croquet. Debbi Katz and Kaye Hesburn played Dick Hammond and Patricia Orason (club coordinator), while Stuart Katz played Russ Wynne (club manager).

After an enjoyable afternoon of croquet, the Kapalua Club hosted pupus and drinks at the Pinapple Grill.

A good time was had by all. The Kapalua Club is planning to have the Maui Croquet Club back soon, perhaps for some inter-club play, or a Croquet & Chardonnay wine tasting.
