In the Championship Singles Final, Jerry Stark took full advantage of both some good shooting and good luck to capture the title (+8, + 18) over Rich Lamm. Game one proved the most interesting of the two when Stark missed the peg-out after rushing partner ball poorly back through the rover hoop. Lamm subsequently maneuvered his way about, pegged out one of Stark’s balls and began a three ball match, his back ball being for one-back. Lamm scored two more, but after leaving a less than frightening trap, Stark nailed the stake dead center from just past hoop two. The second game also could have had some intrigue as Stark failed at two-back having completed two peels of the triple. Lamm had chances but failed to really ever get momentum, clanging off hoop one at one time and stuffing two-back on another.
