The Lawpack British Opens, the premier Association Croquet event of the year, completed on Sunday 15th July, with Robert Fulford retaining his title.

Rob v James: Rob equalised - James hit the lift 4th turn, but didn't get going, then missed 6th turn.
Game 3: James has just gone around 3rd turn, having judged the hill down the lawn 4 east boundary well. Rob hit 4th turn.
Reg v Rutger:
Reg 2-0 up.
Game 3: Rutger went around first, Reg hit the lift and is now about 2 peels the way through his sextuple for the match.
Keith v Stephen:
still game 1. Keith went around first with a B spread and a wide join on the boundary, bit of messing about including Keith failing to approach 1. Stephen eventually hit and went to 1-back. Stephen is now 3back and 4back having jawsed the 4back peel before rushing down to 3back.
Chris v Dave:
Chris is 1-0 up at lunch.
Game: C supershot. Dave hit - put a ball just south of c2 and nth of c4. Chris joined with ball near c2. Dave missed down near c4. C went to 4b with a MSL. Dave missed. C only got one peel done, and had a spread which Dave missed.
Reg has won 3-0 against Rutger: 25tp 16sxp 25sxp
Chris is 2-0 up against Dave (6th turn TP in 2nd I think). He had the first ball around in the 3rd, Dave hit the lift and went to 1back with a pop and a very vertical wiring. Chris failed hoop1 trying to run it to hit the ball on the other side.
Rob is 2-1 up and on a TP to win against James after a bit of interaction.just a straight rover peel do to and it's right in front.
Keith has equalised against Stephen with a TP after Stephen failed 4 on a sextuple.
Game 3: Stephen is on a 3rd turn break.
Hot and muggy again.
Singles semis:
Bamford currently game up against Clarke. Reg peeled rover posthumously and pegged his striker's ball out. Chris went around, but was hampered after rover and played an air shot. Reg hit the 15 yarder to win. Currently lunching.
Fulford 2-0 up against Aiton. Game 3: Rob mis-approached 1 4th turn. Keith now on a TP 7th-ish turn.
Top seeds into the semis:
Rob beat Keith 3-1. Keith had a bit of play in the 4th, but failed hoop6 at one point.
Reg beat Chris 3-0. Apart from the small amount of interaction in game one reported earlier, Reg hit everything and played well, and Chris missed his few shots.
Final:
Rob won the first 5th turn TP after Reg 2nd turn went to max distance spot
Rob won the second 6th turn SXP after an all-the-balls-in-the-middle opening
Game 3: Rob missed 3rd turn. Reg came up with a big error sticking in 6, and Rob is presently on the way to 4back (with his other ball on 2) having had a couple of pops on Reg's backward ball.
